When a version becomes a separate entry
The deciding question is whether the version contains a meaningfully new performance, not simply whether it has a different title or release date.

What kinds of recordings are included?
The archive focuses on Beyoncé’s solo catalogue, co-lead projects, features, soundtrack recordings, selected supporting vocals, significant public performances and documented unreleased titles supported by published catalogue sources. Destiny’s Child’s full group catalogue is outside this page’s scope.
What is a demo or song pitch?
It is a distinct Beyoncé vocal used to present the melody, lyrics, phrasing or arrangement to another performer, label, producer or project. Every entry is marked as a full demo, partial demo, excerpt or snippet only, and the intended performer or project is named when documented.
Why can a Beyoncé demo and another artist’s released song both appear?
They are separate recordings by different vocalists. Beyoncé’s guide performance documents her recorded catalogue, while the final artist’s master is included only when Beyoncé also has an audible backing, featured or reused-vocal role.
Why are demos, other leaks and documented unreleased songs separated?
Demos and song pitches are grouped by their purpose, leaked or circulating entries are unreleased Beyoncé recordings reported in public circulation, and documented unreleased titles may be known only through registrations, sessions, snippets or reporting.
What is the difference between an official Beyoncé release and a feature?
An official Beyoncé release presents Beyoncé as the principal artist. A feature or collaboration is a substantial performance on another artist’s recording or within a shared project, duet, band or co-lead release.
What does “leaked / circulating” mean?
It means audio is reported to have circulated publicly without an authorised release. It does not guarantee that every file name, date, feature credit or version description is accurate. Demos and song pitches are shown in their own section rather than counted again here.
What is a documented unreleased title?
It is a title supported by registrations, session references, collaborator statements, snippets or other catalogue evidence where circulating complete audio has not been established.
Why does EverySongBy not link to leaked songs?
The archive records catalogue information without distributing unauthorised audio. Circulating files may involve copyright infringement, stolen material, unfinished work and inaccurate metadata.
Are remixes and alternate versions counted separately?
Only when they contain meaningful newly recorded material or represent a genuinely distinct performance. An edit, remaster or remix that reuses the same vocal is normally grouped with the original recording.
Why are some writer credits shown under other credits?
A songwriting or production credit alone does not prove that Beyoncé recorded a vocal or appears on the final master. Writer-only and project-only connections remain outside the vocal and demo sections unless a Beyoncé performance is documented.
Why do only some tracks have extra chart or history context?
Extra context is added only when reliable chart, certification, award or release sources provide something useful. Notes may combine the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada or worldwide charts rather than treating one national market as a global measure. A track without an extra box is not being treated as less important; it simply means a useful, reliable source has not yet been added.
